In a dark Victorian fantasy city where humans, fairies, and other creatures live in fragile tension, a human detective and a fairy rekindle a dangerous affair as the uneasy peace begins to collapse. When a series of gruesome murders targets the fairy population, the detective investigates, only to become the prime suspect himself. To clear his name, he must uncover the real killer and face the monstrous threat behind the violence.
