In the fall of 1985, three fifth-grade friends, Chris, Joe and Ted, grow up in the suburban calm of Palo Alto. As their intertwining stories unfold, the community is unsettled by the looming threat of a mountain lion. Against a backdrop that seems like a paradise, the boys’ lives move through a season shaped by friendship, childhood and the unease spreading around them.
