In the 1970s, a gifted high school football player comes of age at a school divided by racism and hate. As racial tensions affect life both on the field and beyond it, he must learn to accept the talent he has been given while holding on to his faith. Against a backdrop of conflict, the story centers on love, unity, and the struggle to rise above division.
