Rita

Rita, a 13-year-old girl fleeing her abusive father, runs away to the big city in search of safety and relief. For a brief time, she finds a sense of solace, but her situation changes when she is placed in a State-run safe house. Confined there with other girls, Rita joins her cellmates in planning an escape, a desperate act that pushes their fragile refuge toward violence.
