Mixtape

On the eve of Y2K, 12-year-old orphan Beverly finds a broken mixtape made by the teen parents she never got to know. When the tape is accidentally destroyed, she sets out to track down its obscure songs one by one. Raised by a grandmother who finds it hard to talk about her late daughter, Beverly sees the music as a rare chance to understand where she came from.
