In 1990s Los Angeles, thirteen-year-old Stevie moves through a summer split between a difficult home life and the pull of a new world outside it. At a Motor Avenue skate shop, he falls in with a crew of friends who give him a place to belong, as he tries to figure out who he is amid the pressures of home, youth, and the streets around him.
