The film is set in 17th century in last period of Joseon Dynasty is economic instability period in the Korean society. Aristocracy ruled the country only care about their wealth, they exploited and persecuted the poor. Then KunDo appears, he brings back confidence and hope for the people here. But after KunDo killed Jo-yoon’s mother, he begins the revenge and insurgency waves between good and evil
