Overview
Eleven-year-old Nicolas lives with his mother in a seaside town where the only residents are women and boys, and the hospital is the only place with any real activity. After seeing a corpse in the ocean, Nicolas begins to question the world around him, including why he and the other boys are being hospitalized and subjected to strange medical trials tied to the phases of evolution.
