Overview
Elite Squad is a 2007 Brazilian crime film based on the book Elite da Tropa by sociologist Luiz Eduardo Soares and two former BOPE captains. It tells the story in 1997 of Captain Nascimento who has to find a substitute for his occupation while trying to take down drug dealers and criminals before the Pope comes to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
