Roberto, an undocumented immigrant, is trying to find a path toward lawful status in the United States. His plans become more urgent and more fragile when he becomes a new father just as the government’s Zero Tolerance policy begins separating children from parents at the US-Mexico border, forcing his family’s hopes for stability into uncertainty.
